The library. A place for study and research.

(OOC: This is for Kimiko, so yeah. xD)

He sighed deeply as he read the books at his table. He was studying Math and Physics, wanting to do well on the tests that he would soon take. He was making sure that he understood the material well, his bag right behind him as he studied. He liked it in the Library, knowing that nobody really comes here. It was nice and quiet, just the way that he liked it. He smiled at the silence and continued, very into his studying, not noticing the person coming up to him.

Kimiko walked in the library with probably the most lifeless face she had for the day. She glanced at the paper she was holding and sighed a depressing sigh that threatened to kill every living thing around. C- in Physics. she frowned and sniffed. Since when did I just barely pass something?

She sighed and continued inside, looking for a table to stay. Libraries weren't really her thing, but with a grade like that, she should try accepting the headquarters of the brainies. While walking around though, she spotted Rime but she hesitated for a second if she should approach him. He looked busy.

"Hi, can I sit here? Or do you prefer some peace and quiet? I don't mind either." she said softly with a smile.

He looked up to her from his book and gave her a small, yet warm smile. "Yeah, go ahead, I wouldn't mind the company." He said back to her. He was a bit surprised to see her here, as he hadn't seen her around since he had left the Groves. He turned back to his Physics book and continued to read what was written on it, absoribing the information easily.

"Thanks" Kimiko mumbled, taking the seat across him. She shuffled through her bag to take out her Physics book, a pencil, and a calculator. She placed her exam paper on the beside the book and began studying.

"Oh yeah.. about your sketchbook." she said softly, hopefully she wasn't disturbing him too much. "Err.. how should I say this." She spun her pencil on her fingers and sighed. "I lost it. I'm SO sorry. I know it's important to you and I'm trying my best to find it around the school. Just give me time. I will find it eventually." she said nervously, speaking in a faster tone than usual.

He looked at her as she had started apologizing. He gave a quiet chuckle as he turned around and looked through his bag. He pulled out his sketchbook and looked at her. "Don't worry about it. One of my classmates found the book in the groves and returned it to me. You probably dropped it when you and Yuu left." He said, his voice trailing off a bit. He looked down and sighed, opening his sketchbook to the page that he had drawn Kimiko in. He gently and carefully tore the page out and handed it to her. "I saw how much you loved it when you first saw it, so I figured you'd want to keep it." He said, smiling at her.

Kimiko's face enlightened when Rime took out his sketchbook. She gave a sigh of relief and looked at him apologetically. "Yeah, sorry." she mumbled. Then her eyes widened when he tore the page and gave it to her.

She gasped in disbelief. "No way! You're really giving this to me?" she said a little too enthusiastically that she glanced around hoping her voice wasn't too loud. She cleared her throat and turned back to him with a huge smile.

"Wow thanks." Kimiko said, receiving the paper from him. She took out her wallet, folded the piece of paper, and placed it inside one of the card holders. She had always wanted to have it to carry everywhere. Imagine, her very own portrait.

She wanted to hug him right about now but he was sitting on the other side. Not to mention they were in the library and he was studying. Kimiko chuckled a little.

"I should give you something in return. I'd feel guilty if I don't."

He smiled seeing her excitement at receiving her portrait. It was nice to see someone smile at his work and enjoy it as much as she did. "I'm glad you like it," he said, still smiling. He continued to watch her expressions until she had finally told him that she wanted to give him something in return. He looked at her and chuckle a bit. "A kiss on the lips." He told her jokingly. He took out his wallet and looked at her again, pulling the small picture of her out. "I kid about the kiss though, unless you really want to give me one. All I really want though it to keep this picture of you. My first friend at this school, and I want to remember you forever." He said, giving her a big smile.

Kimiko's eyebrows shot up when he told her about the kiss on the lips. But then she chuckled. She liked seeing this side of him. It made her feel comfortable that he was slowly opening up to her.

"Only if you think you can beat my record in the cherry stem knot challenge." she teased back with a smile. She glanced at her picture that he was holding and he asked if he could keep it as a memento of his very first friend. But that last line was very bold.

So bold that it threw her off-guard and her cheeks blazed in a strong blush. She had to literally clear her throat and look away. She seriously didn't expect that to come out from the shy Rime.

"Sure. You can keep it." she mumbled a little. "It's not much compared to the one you gave me, so are you sure?"

He chucklea bit at her remark to the challenge. "You're on," He said jokingly back to her. He noticed her blush and look away when he asked to keep the picture and he smiled as she looke away. "Cute," He muttered under his breath. As she asked him the question, he nodded. "Of course. Besides, you loved the portait I made of you, so you should keep it of course. As long as it makes you smile and happy each time you look at it, then I'm fine with it." He said, holding the picture. "Anyways, this is enough for me to be able to remember you, so I'm satisfied with it." He said with a big smile.

Kimiko smiled when he began saying sweet things. She chuckled a little and ran a hand on her dark blue hair. "If you say so." she said and looked at him. "I'm glad I asked you to draw me. I wasn't very serious back then, but it turned out pretty well." she giggled.

She didn't speak anything after that. Rime still had to study after all so she shouldn't disturb him. Glancing back on the table though, all her smile faded and trailed away. Physics. Exam. C-. Doomed.

Kimiko frowned while going back to her studies.

Rime smiled as she talked about how she asked to draw him, and blushed a bit when she said it came out well. After that, silence filled the room as he retured to his book. A few minutes later He looked over to her as she studied, not liking the silence even though they were in a library. "What class are you studying for?" He asked her, trying to start a small conversation, or at least try to.

Kimiko was spinning her pencil again while studying. She tore her gaze away from the book and to Rime when he asked her. She smiled. "Physics." she replied softly. She glanced at the book he was studying and realized one of them was the same subject she was studying.

Kimiko sighed. "Lucky you. Seems I'm not born talented for Physics."

He looked at her with a smile as she mentioned that she was studying for Physics. "Well, if it's Physics you're studying, maybe I can be of some assistance to you. It's one of the easiest subjects for me, so if you'd like, I could help you with it." He said, looking over at her, a somewhat big smle on his face.

Her eyes gleamed again when Rime suggested he could help her with it. She pursed her lips to hold back her excitement. She was still hesitating since this would be a great disturbance to him. But then again, if they were studying the same thing, this might actually work.

Kimiko took her things and stood up from her seat, going towards his side and pulling a chair beside him. "Sorry for the bother." she said with a small laugh as she propped open her book.

He smiled to her and shook his head. "It's not a bother at all, I promise. I want to help you, either wise I wouldn't have offered." He said, smiling at her and he moved a bit closer and begun to explain some of the things from her test and the book to her, pausing and explaining anything further if she didn't understand it.

Kimiko removed her eyeglasses, folding and hanging them on her blouse's collar. She was shortsighted so reading something this close would give her a headache. Kimiko listened intently when Rime began explaining. She would occasionally write notes on her pad.

Everything seemed easier now, though sometimes she would still struggle. She threw a few questions here and there and Rime clarified things for her.

After several minutes of teaching, Kimiko smiled and leaned back against her seat, stretching her arms. She was feeling a lot more confident now. "Not only are you my great artist, you've also become my great tutor." she joked lightheartedly.

He smiled at her and blushed a bitat her comment. "Don't forget your great friend as well." He said. He close his book and looked at her. "I'm glad I could be of some assistance to you. If you ever need any help with Math or Physics, don't be afraid to ask me, alright?" It was easy to tell her was opening up more to her, as the way he's acting now is completely different to the way he was at the groves when Kimiko had first met him.

Kimiko laughed lightly when he spoke about being her great friend. She smiled and looked at him. He was so cute when he was open like this. She nodded to him.

"And just to be fair, you should have something you're weak too, right? What subject is it? Maybe I can be of help sometime. Again, maybe." She chuckled. She wouldn't consider herself brainy but she had pretty high grades in other subjects. Just not Physics .

He sighed and looked down. "Yup. I'm decent when it comes to History, but when it comes to English, my brain just dies. The ironic part is I'm American and I suck at English." He said with a small smile, laughing a bit. "I managed to pass at my old school cause my teacher never bothered with Grammar, but here, they really hammer down on it. I'm just barely passing that class." He said, rubbing his head.

Kimiko chuckled again and shook her head. He was just so adorable. "American who sucks at English? Yes, that's pretty lame." she giggled. "But it's not uncommon since like you said, you don't focus much on grammar. Like how I suck in Russian when I'm half Russian myself." she smiled.

"But! If you're looking for an English teacher, then I must say I'm pretty decent with it. Although, I don't know..." she scratched her cheek a little embarrassed. "..I have Russian accent so I'm not sure if that's effective when teaching."

He smiled and laughed a bit at her comment, trying to reassure him. "I'd be glad to have you as an English tutor. I don't mind the accent, I think it's cute." He blushed, realizing what he just said and looked down. "I mean cool, yeah, cool..." He said, his voice trailing off a bit.

Kimiko blinked when he said it's cute. She smiled and spun her pencil on her fingers, resisting the urge to glomp him right there and then. "Alright, wanna practice that English vocabulary now? I have an idea on how to make the teaching interesting. But I dunno, I think you're still studying for Physics so maybe next time?" she smiled.

He smiled at her and closed his Physics book, looking at her after putting it away. "Nah, I'm done. Just needed to make sure I knew a few formulas is all." He said, a small blush on his face still. "So, what's this idea you have to make studying more interesting?" He asked her.

Kimiko chuckled when he put his Physics things away. "Alright." she tilted her head and smiled. "It's called the Truth or Truth game based on the traditional truth or dare. We take turns asking each other open ended questions. Open ended questions are those with 'why' or 'how' or 'describe'. Those kinds of things."

"And throughout the game, we'll be using the English language." she stated this in English with a little Russian accent. "Up for it?" Two birds in one stone. Kimiko wanted to know more about her friend and this was the best not to mention fastest way to do it.
